Job Summary:
We are seeking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to provide concept, scheme and embodiment design of instrumentation mechanics, from initial requirements through to low/medium volume manufacture. The design work to involve balancing potentially conflicting requirements eg. engineering for value, quality, reliability, assembly, test and service. This role will be of special interest to those with a background in particle characterisation.

- Graduate with relevant experience or equivalent

- Experience of precision mechanisms, fluid handling or optics
- Wide materials expertise in metals, plastics
- 3D CAD experience
- Design for test / reliability
- DFM/FMEA

- ISO9001 - drawing standards and controls

Profile
- A graduate engineer (BSc or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent) with relevant design experience
- Must have a strong general mechanical aptitude
