Product Technical Specialist – Rheometry

Malvern Instruments develops, manufactures and markets advanced analytical systems. Our systems are used in many industries, for the characterization of a wide variety of materials, delivering valuable data to our customers.

To support the continued growth of the Rheology product range for the characterization of complex materials, we are seeking to recruit a rheologist to develop Malvern’s applications knowledge and expertise. Key responsibilities will include providing advanced technical input to the sales process, specialist support and training to customers and our sales organisations and input into the development of hardware and software.

This is a technical position with direct customer interaction and therefore excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

The position is based at our headquarters in Malvern, Worcestershire, however, travel within the UK and overseas will be required as and when necessary.

You'll be a graduate with a degree in Colloid Chemistry/Physical Science/Polymer Science/Material Science or have equivalent and demonstrable practical experience. The use and understanding of rheometers and materials testing equipment in view of being able to interpret measurement results in terms of sample application and end use is essential. A PhD or equivalent in a physical science or a related discipline would be an advantage.
