Spraytec - Spray triggering

The Spraytec system can be easily configured to work along side other devices through the provision of a series of measurement trigger modes. These allow for the control of other devices from with a Spraytec SOP or the synchronisation of the Spraytec measurement with other systems. This is important when characterising rapid, pulsed sprays such as fuel injector systems or pharmaceutical drug delivery devices.

As standard, the Spraytec system includes:

• Scattering-based Triggers: users can select to trigger measurements based on the laser light transmission drop observed as a spray plume enters the Spraytec measurement zone. Alternatively, triggers can be set according to the measured light scattering intensity.
  
• Digital Input: provides a means of triggering the Spraytec from other devices using either a TTL trigger or a simple switch trigger.
  
• Digital Outputs: two TTL trigger outputs provide users with the ability to trigger the operation of external devices during a Spraytec SOP. This includes extraction systems, vacuum pumps and device actuators.
