Parsum IPP 50

Malvern's newest sensor specifically designed to measure larger particles up to 2.5 mm in many processes including, chemicals and food products all types of granulates.

Real Time Sensor for measuring particles with an average size of 50-2,500µm

The probe can be easily installed directly into any gravity or pneumatic process line.

Automatic feedback to central control room or terminal computer.

  Minimal installation effort.

  Strong stainless steel construction.
The IPP 50 unit is the standard type that is used for systems where the process concentration is low and no dilution is needed. The IPP 50 can usually be retrofitted easily in pipes, vessels and reactors.
Spatial Filter Velocimetry
Parsum measures particle size distributions using the accepted method of Spatial Filter Velocimetry

Process Interface
The Parsum is inserted directly in the process line so no sampling is needed.

Automation and control

Direct connection to upstream process control systems and monitoring of current production trends.

Solutions
The sensor has been used in a number of applications including the chemical and food industries.

Summary

The Parsum probe is inserted directly into a process line with the following general configuration and parameters.
