Parsum IPP 70-S
Malvern's newest sensor specifically designed to measure larger particles in many processes dealing with granulates, such as the chemical and food product industries, among others.

  The probe can be easily installed directly into any gravity or pneumatic process line.
 
  Automatic feedback to central control room or terminal computer.
 
The sensor can be specifically modified to suit the process and material conditions by means of various accessories such as scavenging cells, a disperser and sampling systems. The IPP 70-S can thus be used in processes in which soiling or wetting of the optical window is likely to occur. It can be used with abrasive, slightly greasy, sticky and adherent particles, under high loads and at high temperatures.

General

Intrinsic safety

The IPP 70-S unit is not Intrinsically Safe (See IPP 70-Se)

Sensor

Applies an extended fibre-optic local filter method

Installation

Is directly inserted into process line. Can usually be retrofitted easily in pipes, vessels or the free powder jet. Installation is by means of flanged connections (DN 25) or threaded nozzles (1"). The particles should fall vertically and freely at the point of measurement or be carried evenly in a current of air.

Process interface kit
  • Weld Stub to be installed on the process line
  • Feed-thru piece to hold probe

  • Installation location to be specified following consultation of a Malvern Process Specialist
  • Welding the support stub in the process line
  • Conduit laid for cables to computer and to control room
  • Minimum 120 V AC 5amp power supply
