Dual Polarization Interferometry (DPI) is an ultra-high resolution analytical technique that studies the structure and behavior of surface interactions in real time. In this seminar we use DPI to study the behavior and physical properties of polymers at the liquid interface and their interaction with other molecules in solution. Applications of importance to the consumer goods and healthcare industries will be discussed in addition to the implications for biocompatibility etc. The data will also be discussed in terms of its comparison with complimentary analytical techniques such as dynamic light scattering.
